More than just a holiday

Last night I had a dream that opened my eyes to the pain that some people are feeling this Chrismas and Hanukkah season. The Lord wants us to think of peoples needs and show His love to others who are broken and hurting. Yeshua requires us to be joyful always and to seek Him in times of despair. Sometimes It is hard to be joyful when you feel like there is just no joy left within you. I know life can be hard. I’m genuinely sorry you or your loved one is going through a difficult time. However, I want you to know that you are not alone. If you are struggling, I want to help you find JOY this Christmas season.

Find Joy in the Christmas Season

How do we find joy in a season of a lot of stress?  We must choose joy! I know it isn’t easy, but we have to make a conscious effort. We may not be able to change our circumstances, but we can choose to change our attitude. Instead of looking at the cup as half empty, let’s decide to look at our cup as half full. Dont look to others to find joy and peace but to Yeshua who is joy. The Lord wants us to find our worth and wholeness in Him.

In a time of year that encourages you to buy things that will help you find joy; this Christmas season remember that true joy can’t be purchased by anyone. The latest technology gift or kitchen gadget can’t begin to fill the void only Jesus can fill. Pure joy was bought and paid for on a cross over two thousand years ago by our loving God. No one else could come close to affording something with a price tag that high. He i

He brings joy to be there for others!

Sometimes, the best thing we can do to find our own joy is to help others find their joy in the Christmas season.  Many organizations are looking for extra volunteers this time of year. Giving to the poor and needy or lonely person is one way God shows His love through us. We can donate, contribute and provide food, toys and clothing for others. I am trying to get donations to help an orphanage in Africa that does not have money to get the children presents. I would love to have your help. This is just one way to show His love. There are many others. Releasing the Lords love and joy. When we truly Know Yeshua there is such a joy that naturally comes over you even in hard times. The Lord pours out His love through us to give His love and compassion to the broken and hurting. If you are hurt, the best medicine is to help someone else. His love is tangible and healing. Spread it to others.

The message of Messiah Yeshua is the best news ever!

Then His joy, which is a strength to the spirit of man, becomes our joy as well. God is not impressed, nor is He blessed by the best of our works done in self. He is only impressed by the attitude of our hearts. The Lord is asking us to give Him our full heart and receive pure joy to spread around this season.

May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, so that by the power of the Holy Spirit you may abound in hope.
